3 TRICKS FOR USING LAUNCHPAD WITH ABLETON DRUM RACKS
So this one is strictly for my Novation Launchpad
users (not really). In this video I walk you through how to add some more functionality to the Novation Launchpad, specifically how to make it more useful for programming drums on the fly. I add multi-colored LED feeback and a cool workaround for the lack of velocity sensitivity on the Launchpad. I have also added some new bells and whistles, production-wise, so I’d like to know what you think!

Hey Anthony. Great tutorial.
great work.
but wow. what alot of work to set that up….and for not that great of result. shame the launchpad is not velocity sensitive. pretty big oversight imo. for some styles of music that would be fine (3or4 different velocity levels). great work on figuring all that out.
its good to know if you were in a pinch and only had the launchpad to trigger beats. but i would have to be in a serious pinch
Yeah, it would be amazing if the Launchpad was velocity sensitive. My guess is that there is some sort of mechanical constraint. Maybe making 64 velocity sensitive buttons of that size would make it too expensive? Who knows.
I have actually only done this once (twice including the tutorial) and saved it as a template. I have a whole bunch of templates like this that I dust off whenever I find they might be handy.
can you share your templates?!!
Yeah, I am going to put them all up at some point in the near future. Stay tuned!
Hi
When I use LED feedback and record the drum, the LED blinking on the four pages ?
How can I made them blinking only on page 2 or 3 ?
Thanks for your help
